The essence of movement

Laughter and playouts should be the result of movement. When moving our bodies, it should not be thought of as work. Rather, think of this movement as a pursuit who's expanses are as vast as exploring the entire world. One can never master movement because there will always be a new modality or technique from thousands of different disciplines. Movement ranges from walking to flipping, climbing to fighting. Playing gives a source which your curiosity will never be able to exhaust. Dissolution of the ego is the happy accident.
Large egos are what cause us great suffering. They cause us to cling to what we think is right, regardless of how helpful they are to our actual lives. Pride will get in the way of healthy relationships, pettiness will get in the way of long term happiness.
How exactly does movement dissolve the ego? By Instilling humility through the body. When you practice movement, there will always be a motion or pattern that will cause you confusion and frustration. Because of the enormous breadth, complexity, and depth of human movement, you will always have a valid excuse to keep yourself in the beginner mindset. Anyone who carries on with a mindful movement routine will inevitably lessen the grip their ego exerts on your life.
In my experience, bodily insecurities will go away when you no longer focus on aesthetics and shift your attention to functionality. Ok, your body might look “better” than mine, but can you flip, can you invert, can your back bend, can you crawl, can you balance? What looks “good” completely depends on the construction your society promotes. Movement patterns have been around as long as humans have been around. Cling to that which is intrinsic to the animal kingdom. This functional movement will benefit every aspect of your life. (Don't worry, your body will become more ascetically appealing!)
What do you have to do to obtain all of these wonderful benefits? MOVE!! Challenge your body, be curious and playful, don't take yourself too seriously. These movements aren't just to make you stronger, more flexible, and more mobile, they are to connect you with yourself and others. This is a method of self expression. Finding your style. Your individual spark of creativity. If you have fun playing out, being fit can become a lifestyle instead of this grueling activity you begrudgingly do a few times a week.
